RENTAL GUIDLINES

1.PAYMENT INFORMATION:

• Payments can be made to the Children's Discovery Museum by check or card.

• Card Payments: Accepted online via QR code.

• Check Payments: P.O. Box 1481, Longview, WA 98632.

Important: Reservations are not secured until:

• The rental application is agreed upon and signed.

• Communication is completed with the director.

• Payment is received in full with the completed application.

2.RENTAL DURATION:

• Rentals must be completed within the designated time, including setup and cleanup.

3.DAMAGES:

• Party hosts are responsible for any damages caused to museum property, equipment, or exhibits during the rental period.

4.DECORATIONS:

• Decorations must not damage walls, floors, or museum property. Tape, pins, and adhesives are not permitted. Tablecloths and removable decorations are encouraged.

5.FOOD & BEVERAGES:

• Food and beverages are permitted only in the designated party room. Snacks and drinks must have lids. Cooking or heating appliances are not allowed.

6.SUPERVISION:

• Adults must supervise children at all times. A minimum ratio of one adult per five children is required.

7.CLEAN-UP:

• Party hosts are responsible for cleaning the party room, disposing of trash in designated bins, and leaving the space as they found it.

7.CANCELLATIONS/RESCHEDULING:

• Requests must be made at least 48 hours in advance for a full refund

SUPERVISION & ENGAGEMENT:

• Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.

• Adults are encouraged to actively engage with children in activities for a fun and educational experience.

SETUP & CLEANUP:

• Party hosts are responsible for setting up and cleaning their party

  room.

• Setup Time: 30 minutes before the session begins.

• Cleanup Time: During the final hour of the session.

SAFETY & RESPECT:

• Safe Hands & Feet: No running or rough play. Be respectful to

  others and museum materials.

• Inside Voices: Use quiet voices to ensure everyone can enjoy the

  space.

CLEANLINESS:

• Clean-Up After Activities: Leave the room and museum areas tidy

  for the next guest.

• Yuck Bucket: Place toys that go into a child’s mouth in the

  designated bucket near the toddler area for sanitation.

FOOD & DRINKS:

• Snacks and drinks should have lids and be limited to designated

  party areas.

LIABILITY:

• The museum is not responsible for injuries, lost, or damaged items.

• Party hosts are responsible for any damages to museum property

  during the event.

ELECTRONICS:

• Limit cell phone use to stay present and engaged with children and

  exhibits.

Next Steps

Once you have completed and submitted this form, the Executive Director will review your request to confirm if the requested dates and times are available. Please note that reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis, and there may be blackout dates or limited availability.

Upon confirmation of availability, you will receive an email with final scheduling information, including payment details.
